Unnamed sculpture

I founds this wonderful unnamed sculpture outside the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, Minnesota, a museum we visited  on our last Friday Field Trip.  I could find no plaque identifying the artist or information about the piece of art. I loved the way it rose above the walking path, seemingly ready for flight.

  1. I hope the artist was intending to be humorous; I laughed out loud. Looks like a gawky, squawky heron of some kind!

  8. Aside from the talons it doesn't look like any eagle I've ever seen. But I do like the motion of the wings. It's an interesting sculpture.
