ABC WEDNESDAY-K-King Tut

Unfortunately no photography was allowed inside the exhibit at the Science Museum of Minnesota so I had to be satisfied with a photo of this huge poster just outside the waiting area.

Tutankhamun The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs

The exhibition features 50 objects from the tomb of King Tut, including the gold sandals that adorned the mummy's feet and a beautifully adorned gold coffinette that held his mummified internal organs.
In addition to the treasures from the tomb of Tutankhamun, another 50 ancient artifacts are featured, which highlight many of the most significant rulers of ancient Egypt such as Khafre, whose face adorns the Sphinx in Egypt and the queen who was powerful enough to become king.

  1. Awesome photo of King Tut even if it's a poster and not the real Pharaoh! I repeat myself: I've got to go to the exhibit!

  2. I have not heard of this place which means it probably wasn't there when I lived in Minn. Or, I paid no attention to it, being a young lad.

Looks wonderful and your poster shot is beautiful!

I'm assuming the couple below is hubby and granddaughter. Nice!

  3. How was the exhibit? The price of the ticket seems a bit much. Curious as to why photography is not allowed. I can not think of a museum we visited in Paris where photography was not allowed.

  6. I love the big banners that our museum hangs outside for exhibits. I have a big satchel that is part of a banner that was laminated. I use it as a camera bag!
