A Mezzanine With A View

I took this photo while standing on the mezzanine overlooking the entrance and foyer at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.  A number of years ago I watched the installation of this chandelier as it was being installed piece-by-piece by an army of Dale Chihuly's minions.  It is lighted by neon rods in the center and is a huge attraction at the museum.

  6. I love to examine that fantastic twisted collection of glass every single time we go to the MIA! It reminds me of a similar glass display at the Ritz Carleton Hotel in Singapore - a nice view every morning at breakfast it was!

  10. I love this glass installation and have seen many Chihuly installations. One of the most magnificent permanent displays is the ceiling at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. Love this bright yellow!

  12. This is a good example of Chihuly's chandeliers. They are always fascinating, whichever colors and forms. The Bushnell Hall in Hartford has a large, brilliant, fiery red-orange chandelier.
