I'm about ready to go round the bend.
Instead of the predicted 1-2 inches of snow last Tuesday, we got 6 more inches.
And, I'd rather be in México!~
In the bleak midwinter
Frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
Snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter,
Long ago.
Frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
Snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter,
Long ago.
Mid-Winter, 1862
Surprises here too. Weather changes every half hour from sun and blue sky to snow storms with strongest wind. Be careful and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWell, if you insist on living on the wrong side of the Polar Circle.....
ReplyDeleteOh dear! It should be spring for you already, and the fact that you are not now in sunny Mexico makes it even sadder. I hope that your husband is recovering well.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely photo, but better looking from here where I am warm (hehe)
Bises,
Genie
Kate, this must be much harder because you had planned to be in Mexico and this winter simply doesn't want to let go. But you know the new snow will soon melt and you'll turn your face to an ever warming sun and be content. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteIt has been so warm and sunny here, that I can't even imagine this! I hope it ends soon for you.
ReplyDeleteOh my...I don't blame you at all!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry! The poem says it all.
ReplyDeleteYou are more than welcome to send it down here. We need the moisture.
