"Olive Trees" Vincent Van Gogh
At the Art in Bloom exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Patty Murphy and Patty Kelley designed this floral arrangement to interpret the painting by Van Gogh. They said, "Both the movement and texture in Van Gogh's "Olive Trees" inspire us. Tropical greens and bright yellows demonstrate these strong brush strokes."

Lovely floral arrangement, I can see the inspiration.
ReplyDeletelike them both!
ReplyDeleteI love the arrangement, it works. For some strange reason, they moved our Arts & Flowers event to the fall. It will now take place in October.
ReplyDeleteI like when galleries add this to shows.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea!
ReplyDeleteNice interpretation of the painting. Did you see the Picasso that sold for $170m+? I could have bought a pro sports team with that kind of money, lol.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the time Todd and I went to Denver to see the Van Gogh exhibit.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting idea...
ReplyDeleteI think they have done this exhibit before...and I like it just as much as before. This person did and excellent job.
ReplyDeleteI love this interpretation! It's interesting to see the painting in a floral theme.
