These customized bike racks certainly are attractive and so different than the usual commercial racks but I wonder about how to use them, especially if a number of bikes are involved. So far I have never seen multiple bikes attached to one of these modern racks,
I don't know how to use them either, but I can imagine ways for at least four to hitch to each bike rack. (Sorry for the rare visits, but time, power and wifi and imperiled in Joburg at present . . . )
ReplyDeleteToo blue to ride?
ReplyDeleteThey ARE attractive but possibly not all that practical.
ReplyDeletethose are great. I like the bright colour
ReplyDeletei was wondering the same thing - how to use them. :)
ReplyDeleteI like them. We have something similar here only in red.
ReplyDeleteThey're certainly visually pleasing compared to the standard ones.
ReplyDeleteLooks more like art.
ReplyDeleteI've seen some this this here and wondered the same thing. I've never actually seen a bike chained to one.
ReplyDeleteThere look to be a lot of places for attaching a lock!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I imagine one would use one of those short chains to lock the bike to the rack.
ReplyDeleteThat would be interesting to see it filled with bike. Pretty color.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who has tried for ten yrs to find out why her world spins on occasion. There are so many reasons I guess this could happen. I think she has yet to find out. I hope yours just comes to a stop...Certainly before your trip to Ireland!
Those are fun.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen these either here.
ReplyDeleteExcellent!

These look very much like some racks we have here. Ours, of course, are purple. I'll have to do a comparison!
ReplyDeleteWe have similar bike racks here Kate and like you I've never seen more than one bike chained to it? I like your empty bike 'bike' rack shadows :)
ReplyDeleteWe have them in Nelson. At least 4, 6 at a pinch.
