I can't stop posting the objects from the gift shop in the Museum of Russian Art without showing this hand-painted chest and embroidery. I am pleased that crafts have now been elevated to a higher art form than in the past.

The top shot reminds me of a Chinese chest my mother received many years ago from a missionary to China. It was beautiful. When my mother died, it went to my sister as I recall which is fine as she really wanted it. It was very ornate with dynamic colors.
