"seriously good preserves"

The phrase, "seriously good preserves" is on the business card for the products sold by the vendor http://www.heathglen.com/. Their display at the Farmer's Market in St. Paul is mouth watering, and these good people provide sample jars of their preserves for tasting purposes: Blueberry Jam with Lime and Mint, Blueberry Lavender with Merlot Wine, Peach Almond, Raspberry Chambord Jam, to name a few. Many of the preserves are even low sugar. Check out their website to see the prices and more selections. Perhaps you'd like to order some?? I'm returning next week to buy several jars for gifts. Good idea, huh?!

  3. They always make great gifts. There is a store in town called American Spoon that is similar.

It all looks good to me. Sometimes I seriously miss mom's canned jelly and jam and other things. I even miss digging out some sausage from the lard it was fried in that she stored in a large crock. I guess those days, before cholestrol and cancer, are gone forever.

I did get a bar of real Lye Soap and have used it to 'wash off' in like I did when I was a kid. It makes you feel and sound squeaky clean.

  5. They look very nice. I love the packaging.

Has anyone ever heard of calf's foot jelly? They keep mentioning it in the play I'm in. Doesn't sound as good as this stuff!

in bosnia that kind of breakfast we call 'kid's happiness', with your selection it would be a really happy breakfast.

  8. Yummy.
Both of my grandmothers were serious makers themselves, and I rarely ate jelly, jams, or preserves from the store when growing up. Though I never had such exotic flavors to choose from.
