This large piece of art is located on a landing on one of the stairwells in the Minnesota History Center in downtown St. Paul where we went to see a special exhibit about the Depression and WWII as it affected Minnesotan. I have seen the exact same image you see in the photo on postcards, which, incidentally are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Guess I'll have to start going to antique shops again. Next week I'll show you some photos I took while going through the outstanding "The Greatest Generation" Exhibit at the History Center Stay tuned!!

ReplyDeleteNice but I like the jam and jelly. That would be something I could taste.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it was designed to be used eventually as a postcard, or did the postcard come as an afterthought. Superb!

Thanks for sharing this today.
It is getting hard to find state postcards here in the area of Texas I live in.
I guess it's like that every where.
Have a fabulous weekend.
Happy Trails
It does look just like a postcard! Great image!
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice photo and I love the strawberries too.
ReplyDeleteI love that style of postcard (I have one of my own state), but how fantastic it would be to see it on a large scale!
ReplyDeleteHi again, Kate! If you'd like me to send you the letter box postcard, just email me your postal address at daily {dot} postcard {at} gmail {dot} com, and it's yours! :)
ReplyDeleteHow VERY wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I am coming by so late for Postcard Friendship Friday. My parents were involved in a roll-over accident on the freeway last Monday. Miraculously both of my dear parents survived and are recovering, leaving little time for blogging. I had a few minutes just now, though, so here I am.
Happy PFF!
A marvelous shot! They made postcards like this for all the states but, it's true, you're lucky to find any today! :)
