"No one ever died from sleeping in an unmade bed. I have known mothers who remake the bed after their children do it because there is wrinkle in the spread or the blanket is on crooked. This is sick.” Erma Bombeck quotes (U.S. humorist, 1927-1996)
A bed empty of a sleeping body. Wonder who just left it? Our grandson is staying with us for four weeks while he is attending summer school in our neighborhood. You never would have guessed that this is how a 15-year-old boy would leave the room when he left for the day. Right?

un choix original pour le thème du mois
ReplyDeleteoriginal choice for the theme of the month
Ah, this is SO good Kate. An unmade bed and a 15 year old boy! Good choice indeed.
ReplyDeleteFor a 15 yo this is pretty tidt. I imagine/remember it all to be on the floor.
ReplyDeleteI love this choice for the theme ...
Thats what my bed looks like right now. I would love to crawl back in it.
ReplyDeleteGood choice for theme day.
Can't wait to see his closet.
ReplyDeleteI know the look of this bed. Our son (and sister before him) could leave a bed and entire room unmade for days...probably weeks. Good post. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice! Looks pretty tidy for a teen . . . of course all his "stuff" isn't there . . . aren't you glad about that . . .
ReplyDeleteOur old Army beds had to be made each morning and stretched so tight that a quarter would bounce up if dropped. I have seen them stretched so tight that the ends curled up.
ReplyDeleteMaking a bed...my favorite writer...Erma.
Hee! I don't believe in making the bed unless someone's going to see it! So I guess I have the mentality of a 15-year-old boy.
ReplyDeleteHappy theme day!!
Ahem, do I have to admit that I sometimes do the same?

Hehehe. I'd leave it that way, if I were you. He doesn't make his bed, he sleeps in wrinkled, mooshy sheets. Though I don't think 15-year-olds mind. I know I didn't when I was much younger! :)
ReplyDeleteFun and funny choice for theme day, Kate!
I share completely what said above by Halcyon. Great idea for this Theme Day.
ReplyDeletelooks like the bed of a boy who knows how to rest and has his priorities straight!
ReplyDeleteExcellent choice! I would not have thought of this...and I agree...pretty tidy for a 15 yr. old.
ReplyDeleteEmpty bed is a good choice for theme day. I wish my bed wasn't empty and I was in it taking a nap right now:)
ReplyDeleteIt makes me fell sleepy! I'm a long way from 15 but thats how I leave my bed! Don't tell my mum or she might want to come and live with me! Lol!
ReplyDeleteGreat theme day post :)
I like your choice for emptiness, an interesting capture.
ReplyDeleteand tbis was a great shot for theme day. sort of a still life for theme day
ReplyDeleteNice choice for the monthly theme!
ReplyDeleteWow, for a 15 year old, this is AMAZING! The resident 15 year old at my house should be so - errr - tidy!

love your view of 'empty' Kate.
ReplyDeletesorry, haven't been able to visit your blog lately, work is overwhelming, very little time for pleasure.
my regards to you!
Ah to be 15 again and not feel I have to make the bed. It does make it more comfortable to get in when its smoothed out though. Fun post.
