Another beauty from the exhibit. Perhaps I should go back and get more photos. It's such a pleasure watching them flit about the area, and it's such a thrill if one of them lands on one's arm and occasionally one's head!
I'm amazed at the varieties of butterflies you do have. I thunk we have just a small percentage of all these - and I'm also impressed by the quality of the photos!

ReplyDeletePS Congratulation both to you and your dog! ;-)
You should definitely go back: these photos are wonderful. I know nothing about exotic butterflies, but I really like these images.
ReplyDeletesuperb capture!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I've seen this particular butterfly. His design isn't as elaborate as others, but I love it — very dramatic.
ReplyDeleteI'm a day late, but congratulations on your 1000th post! That's a fantastic achievement! And happy birthday to Maggi too!
They are so spectacular.
ReplyDeleteBravo, bravo, bravo for your 1000th post!
ReplyDeleteI don't know this American butterfly but i know this tree, a Buddléia, "arbre à papillons" in French, and that means "butterflies'tree"!
ReplyDeleteIt must be a very rare butterfly! It reminds me batman!!! Great photo!
ReplyDeleteThat one is stunning. Striking colour contrast.
ReplyDeleteYou really got some nice photos. Did any happen to land on you? I guess bright clothes probably attract them.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous butterfly! Really nice shot!
