The Wicked Witch-ABC WEDNESDAY "W"

My Wicked Witch Friend
Persuades Me To Buy
Items I Do Not Need

My very good friend Syb recently persuaded me that I deserved to buy a Cuisinart Food Processor to replace my old worn-out one which I had used for years and loved.  Although I really do not need one now, I was nonetheless convinced that it would be a most wise item to enjoy again in my kitchen.

We laughed about her wicked influence on me and decided to post these photos of her to show what happens to those who exert evil influence on their friends.  About a year and a half ago in the dark, Syb stumbled on  a ragged piece of turf in her backyard, taking a bad tumble, falling on her face and losing consciousness.  Fortunately there were no broken bones nor concussion but she looked pretty beat up for several weeks.  The top photo shows her wounds when she was well on her way to recovery. She wore her glasses the day we visited Birchbark Books and the Cafe next door in Minneapolis.

  6. Sometimes evil befalls even witches! But it seems like she's more of a good witch than an evil one. Are you happy with your new food processor? And you did say your old one was worn out. I hope that when she fell you immediately used that machine to create some health-giving Brandy Alexanders!

  10. I'm so glad all she got were a few bruises. You need friends like her to talk you into the things you wouldn't buy on your own. I think it might be time for me to buy a new Cuisinart. If I'm not mistaken, mine is about 30 years old. Oh wow, how can that be?

  15. Well, that'll teach her about her wicked ways! LOL Seriously, though, I hope she didn't suffer too much even if those bruises look pretty evil!

  25. She made a bad fall. The older you get the more carefull you have to be. An accident is in a small corner (a dutch saying, don't know in english).
