Julie and I went to a full moon night photography workshop at the Desert Botanical Garden. It is a challenge to show anything in a photo at night with a full moon because the moon reflects a surprising large amount of light, but the rest of the scene is, of course, dark. A good setting for the moon itself is f8 and 1/125. That setting, however, would not show anything of the features of the tree that you captured in your photo.
