Last Sunday I took the photo of our neighbor's tree about 9 a.m. when I decided to take a walk in the falling snow.
I took the second photo of the same tree at approximately 3 p.m. The accumulation of 10 inches of snow was well on its way... what a difference a few hours makes! I probably should have taken a third picture the next morning, but I didn't care to venture out then. Perhaps I'll do the same the next time around!!
It is always fascinating to have snow I think. The world around you changes complete in a few hours.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. So beautiful. So cold. So snowy!
ReplyDeleteHey, are you guys heading to Santa Fe pretty soon? Seems like you just got back!
Neither Santa Fe nor México this year; we're off to Charleston, SC. Gonna turn into a Southern belle.
Deletewow, it's really snowy there!

Amazing! That's a lot of snow. I think I would stay in too! Could you send a flake or two to south Texas?
ReplyDeleteI admire your willingness to get out and walk in all that snow! We haven't seen this much snow...ever.
ReplyDeleteI had a shiver just looking at these photos. But, I must admit, they are gorgeous to look at.
ReplyDeleteThe snow puts a fresh perspective on the simplest things.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. A wonderful quietness to these scenes. Love your optimisim, "Perhaps I'll do the same next time around!" Nowhere but in Minnesota would one be so confident of a repeat performance of such a snow in the same season.
ReplyDeleteThe thing I like best about the snow is how quiet it becomes outside. The thing I like least about snow is how slippery it is to get around in.
ReplyDeleteIt's very pretty, Kate. We have had very little snow here so far this year. I'm thinking we may have a brown Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThe second image looks like there are big cotton balls over the tree Kate, living here where it never gets that cold, snow always looks like such fun, but I bet it's not after a while!
ReplyDeleteI declare it a Snow Day for all.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful pictures, Kate. I agree with your friend Biebkriebels, "It is always fascinating to have snow". As I live in a tropical country, love to see snow photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty.
ReplyDeleteBrrrrrr! Those shots make me grateful that we don't get a lot of snow here (and I hope it stays that way!). Stay warm and cozy!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots Kate!
