Mystery Animal

On Saturday, my husband, granddaughter and I went to the Zoo. This interesting animal caught my eye. The first person who is able to identify it will receive a postcard from St. Paul. I think I'll keep the comments private for a few days, but don't let that deter you. Make a guess!!

"THE BEST LAID PLANS..." You folks are too smart for me! When I opened up the blog this morning, I was astonished to find the correct answer...already! And, I thought it was going to be difficult--you impress me again!! Post cards go to those who already correctly guessed.

Today in Minnesota History: 1930 - St. Paul's Frank B. Kellogg wins the Nobel Peace Prize. Kellogg had served as secretary of state during the Coolidge administration and as a judge on the Permanent Court of International Justice in The Hague. (Reference: MNHS.ORG)

  1. ce n'est pas un 'paresseux' (on l'appelle aussi un 'aïs') ? (je suis pas sur du nom anglais, voir photo)

it is not “Two-toed sloth” (it is called also a “aïs”)? (I am not on English name, to see photo)

  2. I have no idea what it is. Any clue?

A sloth? It looks like it has only a few toes....

  4. I think it is an orangutan. Great shot. The color really made me look.

    A sloth?

  7. Yup, it's a toe-toed sloth. I posted a notice on the narrative: winners are Olivier, Susan, Ruth, and Annie. Why did I think it would be so difficult? I guess it's because I didn't recognize it!! I've got a lot to learn!! Olivier was the first, but I'm sending cards to Susan, Ruth, and Annie. Just send your address to my email (on my profile page). Have a good week!!

  8. Je suis content d'avoir trouver, j'ais toujours ete impressione par cet animal, cette lenteur, toute une philosophie de vie ;o)
    Merci pour la carte postale

I am glad to have to find, I board always be impressione by this animal, this slowness, a whole philosophy of life ;O) Thank you for the postcard

Je trouve que c'est une bonne idée, le vainqueur devrait lui aussi poster une Question sur son post du lendemaint et ainsi de suite, cela ferait une sorte de chaine
donc demain je met une question sur mon blog

I find that it is a good idea, the winner would owe him also poster a Question about his post of the lendemaint and so on, that would make a kind of chains thus tomorrow I a question about my blog puts

  9. I guess it's a gorilla, a monkey. His hand looks so human.

Great hug for you dear Kate.

  10. oops, I was going to say sloth but you've revealed the answer. oh dear!

  11. SLOTH!

What?...I'm too late? Drag. Well, cool idea anyway!
    Take care, Kate.

I must say now : " The early bird finds a worm "
    So, Olivier, congratulations :)
It`s really laiskiainen. Now I learned, what it`s in English.
    Nice post, Kate.

  13. How fun! It was the toes that gave it away to me.

Kate, save the postcard you would have sent to me - maybe you could send it to Edwin S instead. After all, it's most fun to get postcards from foreign lands. I just relish the correct guess.

Best wishes to you, today. Annie
