Neighborhood renovation
I've been passing a building this summer that has been renovated in a very charming way. I was hoping that it would become a cozy neighborhood cafe or art store/studio or an independent bookstore. Not to be. It's a financial agency with a somewhat humorless employee who answered my nosy questions about the old vs new building. Well, based on its new appearance, someone in there has an artistic soul!

Beautiful detail with a nice reflection.
ReplyDelete... a woman's touch for sure. I do like the look of the entrance.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very attractive design. I agree, the architect had an artistic soul.
ReplyDeletewell, at least the building looks good!
ReplyDeleteThey even put a window box!
ReplyDeleteI do like the result!
ReplyDeleteIt's cute. Financial people are often non-humorous. It comes with the territory. I mean, really, worrying about money all the time? What fun is that?
ReplyDeleteSorry you didn't get a nice, cosy cafe. But the reflection is great!
ReplyDeleteOh I like it too. ....and I see you in the window :)
ReplyDeleteWho knows, if the staff is humorless, maybe their time on that location will be brief and the space will be picked up by a cafe with artwork on the walls.
ReplyDeletewow..what a great reflection
ReplyDeleteToo bad it wasn't something warm and fuzzy but at least it isn't a soulless franchise of some sort.
ReplyDeleteHello:) ( I can see you in the corner) Also beautiful flowers and a nice "framing" of the house.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you and yours!
Oh I agree Kate, this building has way too much ambiance :) to be financial!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you spoke to someone who might not last as an employee for very long. A friendly facade will take the business only so far.
ReplyDeleteHow disappointing, a financial agency and the building looks so nice !
ReplyDeleteA succsessful photo !
ReplyDeleteI like it
Greetings from Germany
What a charming and artistic building. Too bad it's not a cafe where you can linger and enjoy the atmosphere!
