Took a quick excursion south to Kennebunk/Kennebunkport yesterday, and we were amazed at the display of roadside planters like these. Fall come to us for sure Monday the weather guy says. Going to enjoy these last 3 days of mid-80s.
Yah, yah, fleeting memories for shure. But then ya gotta have some colorful plants in the house, or take off for some southern climes where flowers bloom all year 'round. As my father-in-law used to say, "Damn those Swedes for settling in this part of the country! Couldn't they have gone to Florida?"
They are truly wonderful. The only upside is we'll get wonderful orange tones in the trees.

Very pretty Kate. I can feel your dread of the coming winter. I hope you are making plans for a trip south.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little garden. I'd love to have that leading to my front door.
