I saw this interesting contraption (greenhouse-of-sorts?) on the University of Minnesota's St. Paul campus. I assume that the sunflowers must thrive and grow better in it—don't really know.
Interesting piece of art. I don't know that it helps the sunflowers grow, though, I suspect sunflowers do just fine on their own as long as they get enough sunshine and rain.
Around here something like that would provide a nice windbreak...but as Jack has noted, it takes a lot of money - for whatever its purpose and use. (Did you want a higher definition copy of my post from today - the grendelia flowers? I can email you a better copy if you'd like.)
It is something new to me. Is art representing a seed pod?

ReplyDeleteThat contraption takes a lot of money for just a couple of flowers.
