Bridges And Boats
The Old and the New: I prefer the old drawbridge to the new one; I think it has more character. On the other side of the old bridge are hundreds of pleasure craft of all makes and models. A popular boating area.
The old bridge has more character I agree.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Lots of character in the old draw bridge,
ReplyDeleteI have never seen such a bridge in real life, only in images, and I wonder what it must feel like to stand there while the road in front of you goes up :)

Indeed a road that suddenly seems to be a bridge without other marks than that it is crossing water is no bridge at all in my eyes.
ReplyDeleteI like drawbridges too, as long as I'm not in a hurry.
ReplyDeleteLove watching the boats pass through when the bridges go up.. I'm with you Kate, the old drawbridge is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the bridge and I love those fancy boats!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I've ever driven over a drawbridge. I think I might prefer being second in line, rather than first!
ReplyDeletei'm guessing the new one drives over well. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the old-fashioned one too. Has more character!
ReplyDeleteI like the old one too! I do hate to be in the waiting line for them though.
ReplyDeleteI do prefer the old draw bridge.
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like Stillwater? Nice place at any rate.
ReplyDeleteWe have a variation on a drawbridge that operates between the Olympic Peninsula and eastern Puget Sound. It has a way of timing openings for the most inconvenient times.
