ReplyDeleteThis happens all too often throughout the country. A scary thing to think about being the mother of a police officer. They put their lives on the line every day to protect us.
ReplyDeleteThis is every cop family's nightmare. Heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteSo sad. I can't image how his family feels. We hear so much of this. wish I knew an answer.
ReplyDeleteVery tragic. I'm sorry too.
ReplyDeleteVery sad. It's horrendous what guns and weak firearm laws can do.
ReplyDeleteThat's terrible.
ReplyDelete(Kate I sent you a private message on Facebook (just in case you don't see it... )
A lovely tribute to the fallen officer. Being the wife of a Chief of Police I know the impact that a death like this can have on a police department, a community, and of course, the officer's family. So glad that the perpetrator was apprehended...I believe that it isn't about gun laws when it comes to this kind of violence...it has much more to do with the mental health system and our over the top effort to "normalize" the mentally ill. Society seems to think that mentally ill people can make the right choices on their own to take meds, seek help, etc...if only it were that simple...
ReplyDeleteJust got your comment on my blog! I totally agree with you...evil and crazy...he should have been locked up a long time ago...I believe we have become a very lenient society...to our detriment.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen a photo of the tribute to the fallen officer, and it is lovely. I feel so sorry for his teen children and the rest of the family, everyone's worst nightmare.
