Friendly four-year-old Ray and I had a mutual admiration exchange recently at a local coffee shop. I learned that he eats six cups of special dry dog food each day. He's laid back, is a gentle Great Dane giant who loves attention, and he has impeccable manners.

“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace.”
He is a sweety!
ReplyDeleteOnly six cups?
ReplyDeleteRay is a beauty Kate, we used to have two jet black Great Danes next door, they were a bit scary to look at were like a pair of pussy cats :)
ReplyDeleteGood thing it isn't 6 cups of java a day. He would NOT be laid back then.
ReplyDeleteDogs are the best. These are cute shots.

he's just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved the look of a Dane. Ray's adorable!
ReplyDeleteGreat Danes make wonderful friends. I have never met one that wasn't friendly. Love that quote!
ReplyDeleteOh I do love Great Danes and Ray is a handsome one.
ReplyDeleteOh I love that look he has in the first shot! Would melt my heart!
ReplyDeleteMy experience with Great Danes has always been a good one. The only problem is when they are overly-affectionate. They're really big to hold in your lap! As Sharon says, Ray is handsome!
ReplyDeleteThey are such huge dogs. Good thing Ray was taught nice manners. He does look like a sweetie pie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great face.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dog!
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful boy! Spots are so attractive, aren't they?
