Terrific Choir

One of the many soloists at the free concert of spiritual and gospel music at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.  A highlight of the trip!!  The children joined the adults for the finale, and they stole the show!

  2. I have enjoyed concerts like this (many years ago) ... looks like great fun.

Re your comment about Cedar Key: If you are really interested, I could check on some prices of rental units...but unless you really like to fish, there isn't much to do in Cedar Key ... you can pretty much check out the entire island in a couple of days. One thing you can do is lay about and relax!

  3. there is something so extraordinary about the vibration created when human voices join in harmonic song.

  4. Wonderful post. Julie and I love gospel music. For those who do not venture into churches were gospel is performed, there is a great Sunday Harlem Gospel tour. The House of Blues also has a good Sunday gospel brunch.

There is gospel in the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, where the population includes people whose ancestors came from Jamaica.

  14. I adore choral music. All forms: modern, spiritual, gospel and classical. Preferably unaccompanied because the effort has to go into the SATB arrangement.
