One of the best things I did after we returned from our Southeast road trip was to attend the wedding of two of my former students. They graduated from high school the same year that I retired. Nine years later, how our lives have changed.
Meet the bride and groom tomorrow (although they already have been on my photo blog).

It must be gratifying to see the development and achievements of your former students. I cherish the teachers who were most instrumental in my life, and they were my high school English and Social Studies teachers, who were also the Debate Team coaches.
ReplyDeleteWhen my father went back to the small town in Ohio where he grew up for his 50th high school reunion, he stopped by a nursing home to visit his kindergarten teacher. She remembered him, and even remembered his older brother.
... I'm a wedding today. A special one too.
ReplyDeleteAnticipation. That's what I think of regarding wedding days. I'll be looking forward to seeing the bride and groom tomorrow. I am attending a wedding shower today of a young colleague I have mentored in her quest to be a teacher.
ReplyDeleteHappy day tomorrow Kate, so nice to follow your students progress right up to and beyond this momentous occasion.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of your kind comments on my EDP blog, Great Kate! I'm sorry I haven't been better at commenting on your blog!
ReplyDeleteLet's get a CDP blogger reunion together soon
This must have been special for you. It seems like a summer for weddings for my daughter and her friends. We will spend the summer going to showers and weddings. Good memories.
ReplyDeleteHow neat that you have been invited to their weddings!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed.
