My weekly "fix" is to go to the Farmers' Market and wander around. I think I need to find a place to live with good weather where I can do this on a regular basis, rather than just a few months out of the year. Anyone know where I can find a place like that??!!
Good weather? Spain I think, but maybe not the whole year.
ReplyDeleteA place with good weather the whole year as far as I know maybe only one place in the world. It's Bogor, 1 hour from Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. The weather there is not hot not cold, just cool.
Nelson.
ReplyDeleteLove tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteI know Barbados has a good weather, but it can rain in October, November.
I was there in December and loved it, lovely nice little island with not so hot weather.
Antigua, Land of Eternal Spring. Or so they say. I used to live in California, where there are only two seasons: hot & dry and cold & wet. Now that I live in Virginia, I enjoy the change of seasons.

ReplyDeleteNow those are beautiful tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteWhen you're in Mexico, perhaps you'll be able to visit a farmer's market every day.
Thank you all for your suggestions!!
ReplyDelete~tanty~ I've been to Bali but nowhere else in Indonesia. Wouldn't mind, tho.
jazzy--Barbados sounds good to me, too.
marie--Antigua sounds inviting!
louz and Annie--right on! Come January, I'll be going to see the Shrimp ladies at least once a week and the Mercado in El Centro should have lots of tomatoes. But wouldn't it be great to do that 12 months out of the year instead of just 3??? But, I'll take that, too!
That red is so vibrant. Wonderful shot. That would be something I'd hang on my wall.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, my mouth just started to water. It's hard to find fresh, vine ripened tomatoes like that here as they mold so quickly.
ReplyDeleteI grew up in San Diego where the tomoatoes grew almost like weeds. It's got some pretty good weather...
I'd like to suggest Melbourne, but you'd do better going slightly further North, like Sydney or better, the Gold Coast. Melbourne does though, have great produce and many fabulous markets.
