A Rubber Duck joins the Tall Ships in Duluth for the four-day festival. The yellow bird towered over the long lines of people enjoying the art fair and the tall ships. The bird is 61 feet tall and weighs 11 tons. I remain baffled why this duck was part of the overall festival. Tomorrow I will show you some photos of the Tall Ships.

ReplyDeleteHello, what a cute duckie. It is huge! The festival sounds like a fun time. Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDelete11 Tons? Yikes! Can't wait to see the Tall Ships.
ReplyDeleteHey, there's no explaining what people do in Duluth ... I lived there for several years as a kid and it was so cold brains froze in the winter which made summer up for grabs! I still have a good friend living there and he thinks I'm going to hell because I don't believe like he does. He didn't used to be this way, but again, the winter! ;)
ReplyDeletemy kids have such😀Well, a smaller one😀
ReplyDeleteStrange indeed. Love tall ships though, Can't wait. BTW Mrs. T, my spouse is a Highland Park girl and went to St. Kates...:)

ReplyDeleteWOW! That is one giant duck. Glad it's not real :)
ReplyDeleteI like him for a bit of fun!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking there is not a lot you can do with a duck that big. Tall Ships..Tall Duck. maybe the kids will be entertained.
ReplyDeleteMy friend Heathe just texted me photos of this and the tall ships. Then I opened your blog and here was the duck again! Made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteso cute.
ReplyDeleteOur local hospital has a big annual fundraiser, a rubber ducky race. People "buy" their duck entrant, they're all piled into the back of a dump truck and then dumped into some body of water around here. I have no idea how it's judged. But there are one or two giant ducks like this around the community while the ducks are being sold. They're cute, fun, and certainly eye catching.
ReplyDeleteI'm running from that one haha makes a great photo

ReplyDeleteGreetings from Germany
We love rubber duckies and have them floating and displayed around our cabin. That one would take up our entire water lot. - Margy
