A few weeks ago I told you about our neighborhood's unhappiness with the closing of Barnes and Noble to be replaced by a small Target store. The space is now empty. I'm not a betting woman, yet wanna bet that the bookstore poster will be abandoned during the renovation?

Yes, I think it will be whisked away.
ReplyDeletei'm guessing so.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could get it for a reminder of what was!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad view!
ReplyDeleteVery sad. You would think someone might like to have that portrait...
ReplyDeleteAll the Target stores in Canada are closing. Wouldn't it be nice if some bookstores moved into the empty spaces. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm imagining this full of books...
ReplyDeleteI'd much rather still see the bookstore.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you ought to "liberate" that poster for posterity? I can't imagine a new small Target when they're closing stores all over the country and, as Pat says, in Canada.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of when Borders closed.
ReplyDeleteA sad sign of our times.

Grrrr, what is going on in the world to skip bookstores, it is a shame!
ReplyDeleteThis is the second post I have seen in the last couple of days about a bookstore closing. It's very sad!
ReplyDeleteNow wouldn't it be nice if new businesses left touches of the old occupants just as a reminder of the past.. Of course it would be so much better if the book store was still there Kate.
ReplyDeleteOuch! This is indeed a sad sight. This photo says a lot, none of it happy.
ReplyDeleteBye-bye, poster.
