It has a twin. I thought you were in Texas for a moment. Look up the Fred Hartman Bridge in Baytown,Tx...it is a twin! My Tom,s company designed equipment to build that bridge....Janey
I am fascinated by these cable-tied bridges. My dad was a bridge builder. He would be astounded if he came back and saw some of our modern bridges today.
You've shown the bridge beautifully here Kate, I wonder if it was designed by the same person who built the bridge in Baytown Texas that Janey mentioned?
Thats a beautiful looking bridge and it looks like it goes somewhere. I found a run over your bridge on April 6th. Sounds like a great chance to walk across it.....
I'm curious... on a windy day can you hear the wind passing through the cables?

ReplyDeleteKinda reminds me of the bridge that Terrell, Texas posted today but a bit different. Really striking though!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I haven't seen many "modern" bridges.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Reminds me of the Sunshine Bridge on Florida's west coast.
ReplyDeleteInspiring design! Tall sails give it a nautical look!
ReplyDeleteImpressive structure, great capture!
