As a typical St. Paulite, I don't often venture to Mineapolis, but when I do, I make some delightful discoveries. Who would guess that there is a momument dedicated to military horses?
I've not heard of such a thing but I think it is a good idea. Horses played an important role in many a battle in the good ol' days. And now, dogs continue to play important roles in our armed forces. Horses, not so much.
une belle structure pour cet hommage
ReplyDeleteQuite interesting. Glad you showed it to us!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great fountain!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you ventured out and found this to share with us.
ReplyDeleteAnd a nice tribute it is!
ReplyDeleteThe logistics of an army traveling with horses must have been complicated. I would not want to have been on that troop ship.
ReplyDeleteNice fall colors in the background.
I love this idea Kate, and why not they're God's creatures too and they didn't have a choice!! Wonderful monument.
ReplyDeleteI think that is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI like the fountain and the plaque itself is quite original.

ReplyDeleteIt's a surprise to me! But I'm also surprised that you rarely visit your twin city. :))
ReplyDeleteAs a matter of fact, it's a very fair tribute.
