Drumming Up Business

Well, this certainly is a different marketing ploy. Perhaps it's more effective than expensive advertisements. I admire ingenuity!

  2. Great photo.

I like this much better than a 'will work for food' sign that we so often see. Though, perhaps this is not a sign for a homeless type person and I'm speculating....

Honestly, that is almost exactly what they used to do after the war in Japan. And they used to do it that way in India. Very nice signage.

Also, thanks for visiting and, just returned from Walmart where I see for $32.98 or so, you can buy Ken Burns book about the series War.

  10. I wonder if the person has any takers. I guess I am a doubting Thomas but I would wonder if I would get my clothes back again.
On the flip side I admire thier wanting to find work.

  12. Well, the sign says "sewing machine" so the person must have a home in which to sew....

  16. A lady at our church is a master seamstress. She's a homemaker, but keeps extra busy with just word of mouth work from the people at our church.

Neither my wife nor I can sew, and we've paid her to sew many things in the past ten years.

There aren't nearly as many people with sewing skills as even one generation ago.
