Another Bench

St. Kate's College campus abuts my backyard which had a lovely vista until the school tore down the many tall, old trees and put in a soccer field instead. I am one of the disgruntled homeowners who still mourns the loss of songbirds and various other animals that used to populate our little "forest." I do, however, still enjoy the lovely campus, and I occasionally walk my dog there, enjoying the landscape. There are several benches scattered around, such as this one that has the entrance gate and two buildings painted on it.

  1. A handsome unique bench. It must be noisier too. What do your grandchildren enjoy more, the campus or the woods?

  2. Isn't it nice, though, that the college is named St. Kate's?

I like the campus bench and imagine you standing there taking its picture.

  7. A very nice bench indeed. Thanks for stopping by Kate. I have been posting since Aug 28th but have been in Santa Fe for a month now. Still having trouble getting on the portal so not many people know I started posting again.
    Have a great day!

  8. I like the bench but I'm sorry that they cut down your trees.

  9. St. Kate's. How appropriate, eh?

I can't believe they cut down a wood for a soccer field. Well, yes I can I guess.

I guess they only take up parking lots to build new buildings. I've attended several different colleges and they ALL had way too little parking. Plus they were diligent to ticket those who invented new parking places.

I like the bench photo. Plus it's way more attractive than your average advertisement clad public bench.
