My Kind of Store

There isn't a bookstore that I can pass by! The real treasures are used bookstores, such as this one.

  2. Excellent! Rocking chairs for we/us oldies....
Went to an open garden the other day and they were selling books by the centimeter. Bought $2.50 worth!
I used to enjoy Scribner's "Book for a buck" concept in NYC back in the late 70s

  3. The Harvard Bookstore on Mass Ave in Cambridge is pretty good too. No armchairs, though.

Oh yes, I'm with you--I used to work at one of these here in Hyde P., and I spent all my salary on them. As to the photo--I love how you've captured that rumpled yet orderly look this used bookstore has. Very inviting.

  16. I've always managed to find good, used book stores wherever we've lived. Everyone working and shopping there love books.

One of our two local ones near where I live recenty closed. I went to browse, and sat there for several minutes, stunned. It was gone.

This looks like a nice one, ours have no room for sitting.

Had to comment on this, too. Bookstores are one of my great weaknesses and this looks like a beaut.

Books, couches & rocking chairs? That looks like the kind of place where they'd have to throw me out when they were ready to close.
