Excellent! Rocking chairs for we/us oldies.... Went to an open garden the other day and they were selling books by the centimeter. Bought $2.50 worth! I used to enjoy Scribner's "Book for a buck" concept in NYC back in the late 70s
Oh yes, I'm with you--I used to work at one of these here in Hyde P., and I spent all my salary on them. As to the photo--I love how you've captured that rumpled yet orderly look this used bookstore has. Very inviting.
Oh, yes! That's the PERFECT bookstore. Supercozy! :)

The Harvard Bookstore on Mass Ave in Cambridge is pretty good too. No armchairs, though.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beaut! It is so tidy, though :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely bookshop. There's not much to beat a good browse among second hand books.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great and rich place to be!
ReplyDeleteThis bookstore is filled with the cosy atmosphere of home and holds many treasures.
This is great Kate! I LOVE it.
Great photo and a sentiment I agree with.
ReplyDeleteWaouhh. cette boutique est magnifique, elle donne envie de s'y arreter et de s'assoir lire un livre.

I've always managed to find good, used book stores wherever we've lived. Everyone working and shopping there love books.
ReplyDeleteOne of our two local ones near where I live recenty closed. I went to browse, and sat there for several minutes, stunned. It was gone.
This looks like a nice one, ours have no room for sitting.
Had to comment on this, too. Bookstores are one of my great weaknesses and this looks like a beaut.
ReplyDeletevery nice bookstore; i likre to spend some time in bookstore but i think i would spend a whole day in this one !!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kate,
ReplyDeleteMy kind too I must say...
It does look relaxing.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is luxurious...I could lounge out there all day with a big stack of books. Bliss.
ReplyDeleteBooks, couches & rocking chairs? That looks like the kind of place where they'd have to throw me out when they were ready to close.
