MN Non-worker! Farmers Market
I begin each week-end with a trip downtown to the Farmers' Market, whether I need anything or not. I just like the atmosphere, but we do eat lots and lots of fruit and vegetables during the summer. When I asked if I could take his picture, the man who was patiently waiting for his wife seemed a bit startled. But, when his wife arrived, she congratulated me on my good taste in subjects! Very cool people go to the Market!!

This is a charming photo - lovely flowers, and what a gentleman.
ReplyDeleteI love the smile on his face.
ReplyDeleteThere are some moments and occasions that I would like to ask people to take a picture of them, but I haven't dared to try it. If I explain in a well-mannerd way, however, I think it will work. You motivated me.:)
Farmer's Market's are fun places, and one of my favorites too. This guy has a friendly face.
ReplyDeleteNice photograph, Kate. The man certainly looks pleased either with his picture being taken or for what his wife just said or because he is pleased with the produce and flowers he purchased.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter, Melinda, has a picture she took on my blog. It is a stunning macro.

Really nice, the photo and the little story!
ReplyDeleteIt reminded me about some photos I took of some happy Spanish young tourists the other day. I took some pics of them and they some of me! I should have put it on the blog...
haha. The story made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE markets. You are right, the atmosphere is alywas so good, it doens't matter whether you need anything or not. What a lovely way to start the w/e
Nice shot. This guy looks pleasant. The flowers are nice.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I need to get a bit bolder in asking people if I can take their pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy guy! And what a happy bunch of flowers.
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you Kate! I'm one of them ;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely bouquet, btw.
Kate,I think you have never met a stranger. I love how you are able to just go up to people and get their pictures, Incedently this is a nice one of a very patient husband.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great shot. A sweet smile and holding flowers. this is a guy not afraid to show his softer side :)
ReplyDeleteI love those sunflowers in his hand. I've been thinking sunflowers have become my favorites. But then I'm fickle. Earlier in the season I said my favorite was peony and later I'm sure I'll be singing the praises of mums.
ReplyDeleteKate, I'm so lucky to live beside a daily market. When I'm at home I love to go there and watch around even if I don't need anything. Then I like espression of this man and I'm sure that his wife is in right :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean, non-worker?
ReplyDeleteHe's obviously standing guard over his wife's loot while she galavanting around.
I know that look very well. I've been in his position many times.
Great picture of this nice man, full of color. As you know in Mexico, the farmer's markets closes some streets in the cities and begin the fun. Your request is post, hope you like it. Cheers.
