Bold Painting

Placed high on a wall above the grocery shelves and heads of the shoppers, I notice this painting in El Burrito Mercado on Cesar Chavez Street in St. Paul. It is so bright and powerful that I wish it was placed in a more prominent location.

  7. I dunno. It's kind scary. Maybe it is there to serve as a warning to potential shoplifters? I'll bet there's a video camera behind of his eyes.

  10. I thought for a moment that you'd fled to Santa Fe. I wouldn't have expected to find this in a grocery store! Great catch!

  14. It's very distinctive.

A couple of grocery stores here tend to hang art in odd places. You do have to look up.
