When travelling with a pet, rest stops are a welcome haven, and Minnesota has many modern facilities that are very well-maintained and organised. We and Wild Wendy enjoy all of them on our frequent road trips!

We've stopped at a number of Minnesota rest areas and found them to be just OK. Florida, on the other hand, has updated and rebuilt most of their rest stops so they are modern, clean and also have pet areas. Now if pet owners would use the pet areas that would be appreciated. :)
ReplyDeleteWendy looks very relaxed!
ReplyDeletePet on leash on the sign and neither person nor dog appears in motion. Methinks "exercise" is a euphemism. Regardless, such rest stops are a great place for animals and their people to keep their sanity.
ReplyDeleteWe have some nice rest stops in Virginia, usually with a little trail for dogs.
ReplyDeleteoh yes, we have them here in nz in various places but sadly some pet owners aren't that responsible.
ReplyDeleteWendy looks very happy to be in this area.
ReplyDeleteI agree Kate, rest stops are an excellent idea, on hikes also 😉
