You are looking at the main entrance to the sprawling location of the Minnesota State Fair on Snelling Avenue in St Paul, Minnesota. I have passed this location dozens of times but today was the first time I got a good look at the date. Because of illness (vertigo, which has returned again) I missed the Fair this year. Now I can plan ahead and look forward to next August!!
Linking to Signs, Signs
I had no idea you were still suffering with vertigo! I hope it goes away soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to plan ahead. Our state fair is going on right now but, I don't get over to that part of town very often. We have ours later in the year because of the heat. The weather is perfect for it now.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear the dreaded vertigo is back Kate, I thought you were having a wee bit of respite from it. Hopefully it won't hang around too long this time.
ReplyDeleteA fun event to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteSpending several growing up years in Minneapolis, the State Fair was one of the really big events that we just couldn't miss. What fun we had back then! And remember the park at Excelsior?
ReplyDeleteHopefully this time the vertigo passes quickly. That's a bit too far in advance!
ReplyDeleteYou can never start planning too soon.
ReplyDeleteStill have vertigo? That is a bummer. Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteOh so sorry about your vertigo. I can relate, I had it once not too long ago. Very tough.
ReplyDeleteFrankly My Dear
Awww, I'm so sorry to hear it's returned! I hope it passes soon.
ReplyDelete(How are you enjoying Tony Hillerman? It looks like you're working your way through from the beginning. DH just read Anne Hillerman's first continuation of the the Leaphorn and Chee series and liked it. I think I'm going to read "Thief of Time" before I pick that one up. She apparently references it in hers, entitled "Spiderwoman's Daughter.")
Mark your calendars now! ( I don't even have one yet ... At my age, I can't be planning too far in advance , LOL!
ReplyDeleteWow. Hope the sign keeps its fresh state till the event.
ReplyDeletethank you, kate.
ReplyDeleteAhh is the sign a misprint? We have a great State fair, but I haven't been since I was a teenager.
ReplyDeleteBTY, my Tom found the cause of his dizziness....which I realize is not the same a vertigo. He was drinking way too much coffee.
