The Saturday "Girls"

 First and Foremost

THE SATURDAY GIRLS!
Almost every Saturday morning these women, and a few more who aren't in the photo, meet for coffee.  Their common bond is that they all have some association with the school where I used to teach: parents of students, faculty wives, and faculty.  They meet at 9:30 am, and you can set your watch by their arrival. When I saw them last Saturday sitting outside in the bright sunshine in their bright clothes, I thought an early fall photo was in order. Nice women and talented collagues plus their kids were great to teach!

  4. Julie's mother retired from teaching more than a decade ago, but she still gets together with her teacher colleague friends several times a week. Her friends are our friends, too. It must be something about the people who are attracted to the teaching profession.

    i like all the colors!
mostly for me the move still feels weird, especially since i still did not find work yet. that is a huge frustration and makes me see some things a bit more negative than they might be..... but overall i like to compare and its nice to realize both places have their good and bad things so there are always things to look forward to when being here or visiting the states again.
as for your bread; im very curious!! fresh bread that you baked yourself is one of the best treats, i think, each time....
