Be safe around ice cream trucks. They attract the kiddos like dogs attract fleas! It's such fun to anticipate the truck coming through the neighborhood!
I drove an ice cream truck the summer between high school and college - 1969. It was a good experience. In Scottsdale, ice cream trucks are illegal. It has become a bit of a topic in the current city elections. They outlawed them years ago because some drivers sold drugs.
The ice cream trucks still bring the little ones running in my neighborhood. Just wish the vendor would find another song rather than "Pop Goes The Weasel"! Have to admit to standing in line for a popsicle on occasion!
Yeah, we had an ice cream truck that would drive up to the top of the hill. You always carried spare change in case one of your friends came up short, because we shared everything.
My favorite was chocolate soft-serve, but now that I live in the Midwest instead of back east, I've discovered the luxury that is custard, denser, creamier... and much more fattening! Their motto is, 'Want health food? Eat a carrot!" ha ha Thx for a nice memory. Amy http://sharplittlepencil.com/2012/08/17/twofer-thursday-dverse-and-3ww/
