Flag Day

The flag adorns The Homemade Cafe in Pepin, Wisconsin where I had the BEST omelet that I have ever tasted in my entire life!  The light fluffy eggs were wrapped around pieces of bacon and guacamole with salsa on top.  The week-end we were at a lovely home in Maiden Rock, Wisconsin we visited and ate at some higher scale restaurants in the area, but this was my hands-down favorite for service and quality.  Nice job, Homemade!!

  9. Now you've gone and made me want an omelette from the Bijou Cafe here in Portland because your description of the eggs fits theirs exactly, every single time I've had one since first tasting one in June, 2004. Thanks for the beautiful flag!

  13. A flag and a log cabin! And a place called Homemade Cafe. Perfect symbolism for Flag Day. Thanks for your visit and comment.

  14. Wish I had know about your omelet before yesterday. Had an omelet at Bob Evans that, well, it wasn't anything to brag about.

Sounds like you're having a good time. I didn't know Wisconsin had any "high scale" restaurants! Heh, heh!
