The Swing

How do you like to go up in a swing,

Up in the air so blue?

Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing

Ever a child can do!

Early in the morning is the best time to see my neighborhood at peace with itself with nary a soul around.  If the swing were not so low, I'd try it out.

  6. I memorized this one in 7th Grade, because my Grampa made us a wooden swing set that was the HIT of the neighborhood.

  9. This has more charm than the stainless steel swing set we installed in our back yard when my sons were small. We did not have any shade trees in Arizona big enough to hang a swing.

  10. What a great tree swing. Some dad got up there pretty high to attach that one to the tree.

  11. I was taking two of my little people on a photo shoot in a park last week and lamented that there were no "giant" swings that I remember from my childhood.

    This is certainly one!

Nice and green, and looong ropes for the swing. Beautiful.

  14. When you sneak out there early some morning to try it out, have Leif come along to take the picture. I want to see the evidence.

(Re today's paintings, this was an exhibition in a museum, so there were no prices on the art.)
