It's great you have that program in your city Kate! Sad to say, we don't in Montreal. I would love to sit on the sidelines and observe the comings and goings. What a fun way to relax on a summer day. Have a happy Thursday!
BTW, the first time I ever heard of this was here - "Fresh Eyes on London" http://aglimpseoflondon.blogspot.com/2011/07/pianos-are-back.html
vraiment j'adore cette initiative, une vraie bonne idée, bravo
ReplyDeletein that third shot it looks as if the young player is not entirely pleased with the tone.
ReplyDeleteHow cool having a piano outside.

A good way to ease the stresses of the day!
ReplyDeleteVery colorful! Great for a patio maybe.
ReplyDeleteI hope it does not rain, unless they know how to play and sing "Singing in the Rain."
ReplyDeleteDid they play three completely different tunes Kate? Cool pics!
ReplyDeleteI did not know they were playable. How cool!
ReplyDeleteWere any of them any good? ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I just love all the pastel colors on that piano.
ReplyDeleteI wonder which one sounded the best.
ReplyDeleteHow do I NOT know about this? I must go to there immediately!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I learned to play when I was little was "mary had a little lamb," & i think "chopsticks."
ReplyDelete:)
This is such a phenomenal concept, what an absolute pleasure to know that communities do this and the citizens can truly enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteAre the keys painted too?
ReplyDeleteI love this idea but I have never seen it in real life. People are so creative, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteI just love these pianos! How I wish we had one or two or three of them sitting on streets here in Eagan...
ReplyDeleteI love this! What a great idea.
