ABC WEDNESDAY-"Z"-ZEN STONES

These are platters of Zen stones made by Peter, a former middle school student of mine who is now a very creative and successful glass blower.  If you go HERE, you will see a copy of a wall hanging that Peter made for me.  Because it is in my front entryway, I touch the stones when I leave my home and when I return.  Reminds me of Zen principles and what is important in life.

  11. They are truly beautiful.
I used to carry a "worry stone" in my pocket, a smooth stone with an interesting texture, and if I became a bit disturbed at work I would just put my hand in the pocket and feel the stone. It worked nicely. Hmmm....Wonder where that stone is.

  22. They are stunning! I'd love to have marble-sized ones (not round tho') so I could just let them slip through my fingers over and over again. I love them and you're one lucky lady to have them from a former student!

  29. Hi Kate,
how fun is it to know that one of your former students is a talented artist? I checked out your other post- love it! We all need a space to call our own with the little things that we enjoy. Love the idea of Zen.
