Monday Mural

Identify the location of this setting; the first person to do so will get a postcard from St. Paul, Minnesota from me!

April is Poetry Month: The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach - waiting for a gift from the sea.
Anne Morrow Lindbergh

  1. I suppose saying it's from St Paul is too obvious??!! Or not specific enough?? I'm a sucker for lighthouses, so it's great wherever it's from!

No idea, I'm afraid ... although I tried Google. It is a beautiful setting, nonetheless. Seems quite peaceful ... at least in the mural.

  7. My guess would be the Charleston Lighthouse on Sullivan's Island.

    1. You got it; how did you guess. . . from previous posts or have you been there? (I should have kept this hidden for awhile to see how many others could identify it)

    2. Oh! Hope I didn't ruin the fun for others.
As you and Jim had been wintering in South Carolina,
I googled S.C. lighthouses and a match was found!

  11. I love it when I find a little piece of public art as nice as this one. I have no idea where it is though.

We didn't get any pictures of ourselves with the wood carvings at the place I posted today, but on December 3, 2012, I posted one of my husband by some carvings like this at another place. While I was taking the picture the owner of the store came running out with his camera and took a picture for himself. It's fun to remember things like that.

  18. Impressive detective work Parker. I was thinking somewhere in Duluth, but would have never guessed a different state.
