Monday Mural
Identify the location of this setting; the first person to do so will get a postcard from St. Paul, Minnesota from me!
April is Poetry Month: The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach - waiting for a gift from the sea.

I suppose saying it's from St Paul is too obvious??!! Or not specific enough?? I'm a sucker for lighthouses, so it's great wherever it's from!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful mural. No guessing from me. I don't have clue, about the mural that is:-)
ReplyDeletenot a clue but i like it! unusual light house!
ReplyDeleteNo clue (sadly), but it an odd looking lighthouse!
ReplyDeleteNo idea, I'm afraid ... although I tried Google. It is a beautiful setting, nonetheless. Seems quite peaceful ... at least in the mural.
ReplyDeleteSo far you've got us all stumped!
ReplyDeleteMy guess would be the Charleston Lighthouse on Sullivan's Island.
ReplyDeleteYou got it; how did you guess. . . from previous posts or have you been there? (I should have kept this hidden for awhile to see how many others could identify it)
DeleteOh! Hope I didn't ruin the fun for others.
DeleteAs you and Jim had been wintering in South Carolina,
I googled S.C. lighthouses and a match was found!
I'm afraid I don't recognize it.
ReplyDeleteTakes me back to simpler times.
ReplyDeleteseems odd to see a 'ranch' shack with a lighthouse. :)
ReplyDeleteI love it when I find a little piece of public art as nice as this one. I have no idea where it is though.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't get any pictures of ourselves with the wood carvings at the place I posted today, but on December 3, 2012, I posted one of my husband by some carvings like this at another place. While I was taking the picture the owner of the store came running out with his camera and took a picture for himself. It's fun to remember things like that.
I have an excuse because I have never been to Charleston.
ReplyDeleteBeing the anti-beach person that I am I could not even say.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea where Sullivan's Island is but it is a lovely mural. I'm off to google for the info.
ReplyDeleteA great mural from where I know not. Just had an enjoyable moment or two looking at your recent shots.
ReplyDeleteYou can practically hear the waves and the seagulls! Now I have to look up Sullivan's Island...
ReplyDeleteNot a clue...but I like the image reproduced on the block wall.
ReplyDeleteImpressive detective work Parker. I was thinking somewhere in Duluth, but would have never guessed a different state.
