The guy doth look real. Out of the 1930s. Are you and Jim at odds these days or maybe you're giving him a hint? Sheesh, what a poem! But it does contain some useful advice. :)
I actually framed that poem! It's not only husbands who need that advice; at least this wife does, too. So, will you disclose whether it's man or mannequin?
ha, words to live by!

ReplyDeleteI'm going to say mannequin. His lips are just a big too pale.
ReplyDeleteI need to post that on my wall as a daily reminder! :)
ReplyDeleteOgden Nash was so wise...and so funny!
ReplyDeleteHe does look a bit pale. Very lifelike though.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I ever read that poem before. I like it.

ReplyDeleteHis hands give him away.
ReplyDeleteVery good advise!
Mannequin surely Kate, otherwise he's jolly good :) and that's pretty wise advice for husbands who want a peaceful life haha!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Love the poem!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have the very same statue of this guy (Al Capone by name) in front of a restaurant in Barcelona!
ReplyDeleteOgden Nash! I hear, erm read, his name so seldom these days. A pithily wise man...or would that be wisely pithy?

ReplyDeleteDefinitely a mannequin, Kay!
DeleteFunny little poem you have today. Happy to say that my marriage is brimming and I am one quiet man!
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my favorite Ogden Nash poems! The guy is a little too stiff to be real.
ReplyDeleteKind of spooky looking.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. Like the poetry Too Kate.
ReplyDeleteLove the concept, (Harmony of words and image!). Saludos
