APRIL POEM #6
Blueberries
Blueberries as big as the end of your thumb,
Real sky-blue, and heavy, and ready to drum
In the cavernous pail of the first one to come!
And all ripe together, not some of them green
And some of them ripe!
You ought to have seen!
Robert Frost
How appropriate that you used a poem about blueberries to accompany your photo of pie crusts. Put the two together and you have my favorite desert.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful crusts....I should be so neat and talented.
ReplyDeleteLove the timeless top image - could have been taken at almost any time in the last 150 years
ReplyDeleteyou had me at the chocolate cakes.
ReplyDeleteThe pie crusts are work of art in their own!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...suddenly I'm thinking a slice of peach pie might make a good breakfast!
ReplyDeleteI bet the aroma is wonderful when the pies and cakes are baking. Mmmm!
ReplyDeleteYummy shots!!!
ReplyDeleteA friend gave us some bread from an Italian bakery in St. Petersburg today. Delicious. Not, however, quite as enticing as the goodies in these photos!
ReplyDeleteSome scrumptious photos of the baked goodies, Great Kate! I'm on my way home for some "after school treats!"
ReplyDeleteBTW, we should meet again for blog talk and French treats at PMF in Eagan!
I'll take the Chocolate!
ReplyDelete"Ready to drum"? Now, what the heck does that mean. I'm giving that Frost kid an F. He'll never amount to much as a poet.
ReplyDeletethose pie crusts are so beautiful, sad about Porky's, hope it is saved.
