If any of you have ever had physical therapy, you'll recognize these colourful bands that are stock-in-the-trade to help patients recover from whatever ails them. I haven't had to use these...too tame. Joel, my therapist had bigger and better tortures scheduled for me. But, hey! It's working since I'm healing so rapidly!!
les kines connaissent plein de tortures, mais tant que c'est efficace nous les acceptons ;))
ReplyDeleteAnd when do we get to see the scar? (Actually, for the first 12 months, it's a wound. Or so my surgeon says....)
ReplyDeleteI guess they are trying to make re-hab attractive and cheerful with the bright colors.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Randy. They are hoping the colors make up for the pain. You'll have to let us know what kind implements of torture you are undergoing.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that I don't know these band... yet!
ReplyDeleteDifferent colors, different widths? Pretty, anyway.
ReplyDeleteThe one that we have is black but we got it about twenty years ago so, maybe they weren't so colorful back then. I don't think the color would make them any more fun though.
ReplyDeleteI used these when I had surgery on my foot. They can be helpful. Glad to hear that you are recovering so quickly. :)
ReplyDeletePS: The different colors are for the resistance. When I used them, I think purple was the evil one. But it might vary depending on the therapist's supplier.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes. I liked the stretching so much that I bought bands with handles to use at home for general fitness.
ReplyDeleteSo...you really did "beat the band(s)" - :-)
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a thing like that.....
ReplyDeleteThe good thing is that you are doing so well, and I hope 2011 will be a very good and creative year for you.
AUGH!! Torture bands. I had some of each color to use at home. The worst thing, though, was using a belt to pull my arm up my back. :-<
