  2. My wife will often order the cheese platter for desert. I like cheese before a meal, but not after a meal. I figure, why pass up a chance to have chocolate?

  4. Astounding abundance!
The Abbaye de Belloc sells cheese? Some of their monks live here! I wish they would start making cheese here too.
I once worked in a sheep farm cheese dairy. It is a world where all is white and soft (even our boots).

Love how your photo displays a ewe next to the sheep cheese.
Too bad it is so expensive.

  11. I do love cheeses, but most often not the small, soft, mild, round cheeses but rather the various hard cheeses with a bite to them!!!

  19. "How can anyone govern a nation that has two hundred and forty-six different kinds of cheese", said de Gaulle. The question is still open! :-)

In the meantime, cheeses of all kinds offer a fabulous pleasure! :-)

  20. Those choices are as confusing as most well stocked wine shops. Eek! Too many choices! At least you can often sample a taste of the cheese.
