If you want to join
The Red Hat Society for "Fun after Fifty, there's no better place to find your purple outfit and red hat than The Encore consignment shop on St. Clair and Hamline Avenues, a shop I have introduced you to
here. Have a good week-end, everyone! See you Monday.
Mrs. Kate this is a lovely post and unusual photo!
ReplyDeleteFabulous hats! I hope the society is still going when I hit five-O! Isn't it interesting how a group of women wearing red hats looks like so much fun?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if we have a local Red Hat Society or not, but this sounds like fun. Great hats...I'd love to wear them!
ReplyDeleteYes, I like the red. :)
ReplyDeleteI knew only the "Les dames au chapeau vert".
ReplyDeleteLadies with green hat.
In Finland, nowadays, some bloggers use the expression : "aunts with flower hat" to despite people who don't appreciate enough the globalisation.
Great hats! I remember the previous hat posting which I loved. I love hats and used to wear them all the time, even when showing a dog! Perhaps I should start being a hat lady again - better than a bag lady!
ReplyDeleteThat one with the wide brim would look good on me next summer when I go out and about working in the yard. I get skin cancer so I need to wear something. I think it would look nice with suspenders.
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to tell my Mom about this. I think she would have fun wearing hats like that.
ReplyDeletehow interesting.
ReplyDeletepretty red hats.
have a good weekend Kate!
Kate - I simply must have red shoes to go with that too! Please, let's go shopping. :) You have a great week-end yourself.
ReplyDeletewhat fun! Check out my saturday post when you get a chance, i posted the favourite SA wine label as promised.
ReplyDeleteI have a strong affinity for wearing hats. That might be the only reason I would join the Red Hat Society though.
ReplyDeleteMy Mom use to do that every so often. I never did fully understand :)
ReplyDeleteI never heard of the Red Hat Society until a few months ago!
ReplyDeleteI have one nieghbor who belongs.
I never even knew the age requirement :)
Thanks for the info.
The red hats look great! The red hat society sounds very fun!
ReplyDeleteHello, my name is Eugene Schoenle. I am an activities director at a nursing home in Kaufman TX. Many of my elderly lady residents have expressed any interest and starting a Red Hat society. I feel that this is a great opportunity for my residents to keep and exercise their independence. My biggest problem is that I know nothing about the Red Hat society. So now I am appealing to anyone who can send me information about the Red Hat society. We are a very rule nursing home and do not have a big budget I do not know how much Red Hat's cost or if we could afford them if anybody out there has a extra Red Hat that they would like to donate to our ladies please contact me at eschoenle@seniorlivingemail.com or eschoenle@hotmail.com or 972-932-2118.

May 12 I am still trying to find information on how to join. I am a educator retiree, St. Paul; wish a active and kind group of people which I know you all are. How do I join and which chapter of St. Paul do I join? I am not an avid computer interactor as a main outlet of being around people.
ReplyDelete5/12 I am still waiting to join a chapter in St. Paul, MN. Do I go on the main website and subscribe? I am not an avid social networker via computer only.
