I asked one of them where they work and he said, "The North Pole." But I think he was just kidding. Gotta give them credit, though. That's not an easy job in good weather.
Most interesting process to see the lineman set a new pole. The cold weather does not make the process any easier. Hats off to those who do a difficult job. Like your series of photos showing the process.
I have a lot of respect for the linesmen. For our benefit they work to restore power in all kinds of weather.

ReplyDeleteQuite a job, especially this time of year.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely takes a certain kind of person to do that job. I wouldn't last a full day under those conditions.
ReplyDeleteMy hat is off to those guys. Not only is it hard work, it's dangerous as well.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly do work hard Kate, even in our hot summers!
ReplyDeleteA job well done in very frigid climate. I'm sure people appreciate all their hard work.
